Pool Party Punch (Rum Based)

This rum based Pool Party Punch brings Tiki / Island vibes for those chasing the endless summer. We've toned down the Malibu so it adds depth, but isn't 'coconutty', and using bottled ingredients keeps it easy and delicious!

We've done the math (and the taste-testing) so that the ratios turn out pretty darn good when making large volumes, though feel free to tweak it to suit your taste!

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite dark rum (we used Bacardi)
  • Your favorite white or flavored rum (we used Malibu)
  • Your favorite Pineapple Juice (we used Langers Pineapple Juice)
  • Your favorite Orange Juice (We used Simply Orange - Choose "pulp-free" unless you want to strain it)
  • Your favorite Cranberry or Cranberry / Grape Juice (We used Ocean Spray)
  • Pineapple and Maraschino Cocktail Cherries, for garnish

Pool Party Punch

Medium (4L) ~136 fl. oz. (34 x 4 fl. oz. serves)

  • 1 x 750 ml bottle of dark rum
  • 250ml of white or flavored rum
  • 1 L of pineapple juice (strained)
  • 1 L of orange juice (pulp free / strained)
  • 1 L of cranberry or cran grape juice

Large (10L) ~338 fl. oz. (84 x 4 fl. oz. serves!)

  • 1 x 1.75L bottle of dark rum
  • 1 x 750ml bottle of white or flavored rum
  • 2.5 L of pineapple juice (strained)
  • 2.5 L of orange juice (pulp free / strained)
  • 2.5 L of cranberry or cran grape juice

To make:

  • Pour the quantities in your clean keg. Stir gently with a clean spoon to mix well.
  • Place the lid on your keg, connect your CO₂ setting your regulator at 5 psi.
  • Purge out the oxygen in your keg by lifting the release ring for 2-3 seconds (letting the CO₂ push out the air). Repeat 2 more times.

Consuming right away? Connect your tap and serve into a punch glass with ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.

Preparing in advance? Disconnect your CO₂ and store in a fridge or in your Keg Bag with ice until ready.

Keep the summer vibes going with this punch on tap! Cheers!
