Apple Cider Aperol Spritz: A Refreshing Autumn Twist

Celebrate autumn with a refreshing twist on the classic spritz!

This Apple Cider Aperol Spritz combines the crisp, full-bodied flavor of apple cider with Aperol's signature bitter orange and herbal notes, topped off with a brut Prosecco for a touch of bubbly elegance and a splash of soda for extra effervescence.

The cider brings warm apple undertones perfect for fall, while the Prosecco adds dry, fruity balance to keep it light and refreshing.

Each sip is a blend of crisp apple, sparkling citrus, and a hint of bitterness—perfect for cozy gatherings or a fall brunch.

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite sweeter Italian apéritif liqueur (we used Aperol)
  • A brut Prosecco (we used Mionetto Prosecco Brut)
  • An Imperial style or spiced apple cider (we used Angry Orchard Imperial)
  • Club soda or soda water (we used San Pellegrino)
  • Orange slices, cinnamon sticks, or thyme (for garnish)

Apple Cider Aperol Spritz

Half Batch (4.5L) ~152 fl. oz. (25 x 6 fl. oz. spritzes + ice and garnish)

  • 2 x 750ml bottles (or 1 x 1.5L magnums) of Prosecco
  • 1 x 750ml bottle of Aperol
  • 4 x 12oz apple cider cans/bottles
  • 750 ml of club soda or soda water

Full Batch (9L) ~304 fl. oz. (50 x 6 fl. oz. spritzes + ice and garnish)

  • 4 x 750ml bottles (or 2 x 1.5L magnums) of Prosecco
  • 2 x 750ml bottle of Aperol
  • 8 x 12oz apple cider cans/bottles
  • 1.5 L of club soda or soda water

To make:

  • Pour the quantities into your clean keg. Stir gently with a clean spoon to mix well.
  • Place the lid on your keg, connect your CO₂ setting your regulator at 5 psi.
  • Purge out the oxygen in your keg by lifting the release ring for 2-3 seconds (letting the CO₂ push out the air). Repeat 2 more times.

Consuming right away? Connect your tap and serve into a glass with ice and garnish with a slice of orange and a sprig of thyme (or cinnamon stick as desired).Preparing in advance? Increase the pressure to 15 psi while storing to ensure the carbonation stays in your spritz, leaving it connected while it's being chilled. Always drop the pressure to 5 psi or lower while serving, otherwise it could shoot out with a vengeance!

Have an Apple Cider Aperol Spritz for a wonderful seasonal twist on the classic. Cheers!
